Dear Martin,

I am writing to thank you and everyone in Studio 32 for having me along to your auditions last night to receive your generous donation of £2050.00 for the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland. It was lovely to meet the cast and crew of ‘Downright Divas’. The show was clearly a huge success and well worth all your hard work and effort. Please pass on my sincere thanks to all your members and everyone who contributed. We greatly appreciate it.

2004 will be a challenging and exciting time for everybody involved with CHAS. Construction of Robin House, Scotland’s second children’s hospice is well underway and we are looking forward with great enthusiasm to opening the doors to families in late autumn.

Our teenagers who use Rachel House are particularly excited. Robin House will have a special area so they can have more space to themselves. This means that small things, such as having control of the telly or what’s on the hi-fi will give them a bit more independence. Computer marathons and loud music sessions can continue with minimal disruption to the rest of the house!!

Robin House will allow CHAS to continue to provide a full package of hospice support to families with a child or children with a life-limiting condition. And thanks to the efforts of our loyal army of volunteers and the fantastic support of the Scottish public, CHAS keeps administration costs as low as possible with over 90p of every pound donated used directly to run our unique and vital services.

Thank you once again for your support of the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland.

Yours sincerely
